Section 33
Scholarship to be provided
(1) The institution shall provide full scholarships to underprivileged students in at least twenty-five percent of the total number of students enrolled in each academic session. Explanation: For the purpose of this section, "disadvantaged" means a student who has studied in a public school and passed the entrance examination or equivalent and has been recommended by the concerned local level as disadvantaged.
(2) According to sub-section (1), twenty-five percent will be considered as 100 percent, and forty-five percent of the scholarship will be provided to women, Dalits, tribals/tribals, Madhesi and backward students only.
(3) The institution may provide partial scholarships to underprivileged students.
(4) According to sub-sections (1) and (2), the basis for providing scholarships will be as prescribed.
(5) Any body or institution may provide scholarship to any student for study in the institution.
